Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Paderborn is currently obliged to document the contact details of all persons present.
The university uses the system darfichrein.de for the secure and data protection compliant collection. The data is stored there in encrypted form and is automatically deleted after 28 days. They are only read out in the event of a request from the health authorities and are used exclusively to trace chains of infection. Information on data protection:

With darfichrein.de you can enter your contact data very easily digitally via QR-Code using a mobile device (Smartphone, Tablet, Notebook), if you are staying in rooms of the university.
This guide explains how to download, set up and use QR-Scanners!

iOS: Internal Camera[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]
- Newer devices have an integrated QR Code scanner in the Camera App.
- Open the app and hold the camera on the QR Code.
- Then click on Website QR Code at the top (open "c.darfichrein.de" in Safari) to go to the corresponding web page.
iOS: Search and download QR Scanner from the App Store[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]

- First go to the App Store and enter QR Code Scanner in the search above.
- Select a scanner (here: QRbot) and click on "Load".
- You will then be asked to confirm the "Purchase".
- Use "Touch ID" (if available) or enter your password.
- After the installation is complete, you can open the app.
iOS: Setup QR Scanner[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]
- When you have opened the app, a Tutorial starts, which explains the most important functions.
- To start the tutorial, click on the arrow below.
- To finish the tutorial, click on the upper cross.
- When you have clicked through the tutorial, click on the lower hook.
- In the next step you will be asked if the app is allowed to access your camera.
- This is necessary so that the app can scan corresponding QR codes.
- Therefore click on "OK".
iOS: Using QR Scanners[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]
- After you have allowed camera access to the app, you can use the QR scanner.
- Hold the camera section of the app on the QR code. This will be scanned immediately.
- A new window opens. Here you click on Open URL to use the page darfichrein.de.
- Afterwards you can use darfichrein.de and enter your contact information.

Samsung Camera App[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]
- To use the Samsung Camera App, you must first open it by clicking on the Icon.
- Then hold the camera on the QR Code.
- Then click on the corresponding web page below.
Huawei Barcode Scanner on Lockscreen[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]
- Via the lockscreen at Huawei (not all Huawei models) you can use an integrated QR Code scanner.
- Click on the "Barcode scanner symbol" at the bottom right.
- Then hold the camera on the QR Code.
- Then click either on the link or below on "Open" to go to the website.
Android: QR Scanner App[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]
- After you have downloaded a suitable app (here: QR & Barcode Scanner) from Google Playstore, open it by clicking on it.
- Then hold the camera on the QR Code.
- After that the corresponding link appears on which you must click. Alternatively you can click on Open Browser.
