Privacy Policy

The Jitsi instances are offered by the IMT or the Computer Science Department and are operated within the University of Paderborn.

The open source software Jitsi Meet is used. Based on WebRTC, the data is transmitted encrypted. However, WebRTC does not (yet) offer the possibility to encrypt video conferences with several persons end-to-end. That means: on the way of transport the video chat is encrypted, but not on the video conference server. However, the server is secured against unauthorized access, so that only other conference participants and the administrators of the university can access the video conferences.
